At Ropley on the MHR 50031 visited for the Mid-Hants Railway Spring Diesel Gala, performing with 50007 and 50033 both still in British Rail (NSE) service.

At the gala 50031 was rededicated Hood by the chaplain of the HMS Hood association and a number of survivors of the sinking of HSM Hood by The Bismarck in the Second World War.
