The Swanage Railway Diesel Gala 2008
The Class 50 Alliance received the invitation from the
Swanage Railway to fill in at the last minute for traction that was no
longer available, and was pleased to be able to respond positively. On
the Saturday there were two fifties operating in Dorset.... Probably for
the first time in many years, as 50049 was in charge of the return leg
of Vintage Trains outing from Birmingham to
Weymouth.
D444
arrived with fellow SVR resident 37906. The pair are seen here at Norden
in a gap between duties.
