50035 started before the first duty of 1st June 2002.

During the summer of 2002 the SVR was visited by the GTRM auto-balaster for crew training. 50035 was utilised as motive power on the day.

The Diesel Gala 

Over the weekend at the beginning of October the Severn Valley Railway held its annual Diesel Gala. With a wide variety of visiting locos it was well attended (15% up on the previous year).
