took the opportunity to name one of their class 47/8s Severn Valley
Railway at the Diesel Gala, cementing links between the companies. 47828

last class 50 operation on the Severn Valley Railway in 2001 was the now
traditional dining service before Christmas. With Bridgnorth station
providing the light 50031 awaits the return leg of the trip with its
festive headboard.
