Severn Valley Operations 2000
The
first class 50 operation on the SVR was a test run for 50031. D444 was provided to increase the trailing load
on the run to Bewdley and back.

11th June '31 awaits the north bound service and its token for
southbound travel at Hampton Loade.

With
50149 also resident on the Severn Valley Railway it was only appropriate
that Defiance should undertake some of the class 50 rostered turns. On
7th July 2000 50149 was utilised on the driving experience course.
Poised at Bridgnorth the volunteers and delegates wait the token to
start the return leg to Kidderminster.

Diesel Gala 2000
With so many visiting locomotives these was the best
event for many years. Here are just a short selection of duties with
