The Pixies Revenge
Pathfinder's Pixies Revenge on the 24th September
railtour saw 50049 and 50031 provide the motive power from Banbury via
the Chiltern Line to Greenford, then Slough and Reading to Plymouth,
Bodmin (for the B&WR Diesel Gala), Par (for the Eden Project) and
Penzance (for Pasties!). The opportunity was taken to get three
preserved 50s in one station on the outward leg, as 50042 Triumph was
employed by the Bodmin and Wenford Railway to haul their connecting
service from Bodmin Parkway to Bodmin General.
