The Northern Lights

Over the 27th - 28th August 2004 Hood worked the first leg of Pathfinder's Northern Lights tour. The train was to to have taken a class 40 to the Kyle of Lochalsh. Unfortunately due to a technical fault with 40135, the CFPS decided to remove her from the train at Carlisle. The tour continued with a 66 and later two 37s providing the power.

Back where Hood's second mainline career started, Birmingham International, she prepares to take another tour away single-handedly, this time to Preston.

At rest in Preston. Hood stabled under the spire before running to Carlisle to bring the tour back the extra miles.
