ECS Working for Merlin Rail
On
9th July 2003 Hood found her way back to Waterloo to provide power for
an ECS working in association with a Steam-Dreams tour from Poole.
Here Hood gains the stops alongside the new order on
the Waterloo - Exeter services, a 170 DMU.
In this world of the privatised railway although the
tour was organised by Steam-Dreams, our involvement was managed by
Merlin Rail, one of the new breed of train staff and operations
providing companies.

Under
power through Vauxhall heading south on the Down Waterloo Fast Line. Unusually
for us this trip was arranged at very short notice due to the
unavailability of the booked heritage diesel.
