To Old Oak Common  

An Ultrasonic Axle Test (UAT) was required for 50035 prior to moving over Railtrack metals. Thankfully she passed without difficulty.

To transfer 50035 to Old Oak Common depot for the August 2000 open day 50031 was employed. Running from Kidderminster the pair ran via Birmingham and Didcot and along the Great Western mail line to the London depot. Here Hood leads Ark Royal through Iver.

Now as D431 she returns D821 to Kidderminster and the Severn Valley Railway.

D431 To Barrow Hill

After the Severn Valley's 2000 Diesel Gala D431 was used to return visiting locos to the Barrow Hill Railway Museum, and the Midland Railway Center.

While there the opportunity was taken to position '31 around the turntable. So sharing the unusual location is 82008 and 20056.
