Please note that this is a major increase in the use of the diesel fleet
by the Severn Valley Railway. Please support the running of diesel locomotives
on these dates so that the railway management can be persuaded to continue with
it in future years.
All locos subject to availability on the day, and please note
that locos may be swapped at short notice. For up to date information, please
contact the SVR directly.
2009 Severn Valley Railway Diesel Gala
The 2008 Diesel Gala was a great success with other 2000
enthusiasts visiting the railway over the tree day event. Early planning for the
2009 event is expected to start in the Autumn of 2008. It is likely that the
2009 Diesel Gala will revert to its usual September or October date.
