Let Us Put You in the Driving Seat
 We can make your dream come true! The Fifty Fund in association with the Severn Valley
Railway, run footplate experience courses on selected dates throughout the year.
This
years course includes approximately six miles of driving with a train of
coaching stock. Full instruction will be given to all participants by our
experienced staff on all aspects of class 50 driving and the relevant
aspects of the operation of the railway. Tours of the locomotive will

On 7th July 2000 Defiance stood in for 50031 on the driver experience
course duty. At Bridgnorth we took the opportunity to capture the group
in front of their steed for the day. From left to right; Driver John
