Additional Trains for Cardiff Railway Co.

To provide additional service trains or to strengthen others, Cardiff Railway Company has frequently hired in Fifty Fund locomotives. 

In the summer of 1998 three special trains were run just for the appreciation of enthusiasts and to return holiday makers from the Barry beaches. Here Hood is seen in the run round loop beyond Treherbert station on Sunday 9th August 1998.

On an additional service to Shrewsbury on 22nd August 1999, 50031 and D444 are seen at the destination waiting the return working.

On one such working Hood is seen at Crewe with the 22.30 additional train to Cardiff on the 9th of September 1999.
