The Celtic Hoover

Almost exactly a year after Pathfinder Railtour's first outing with Fifty Fund Locomotives on 4th September 1999, D431 was back Pathfinder service on The Celtic Hoover. This train saw '31 as D431 pair with Project Definace's D449 for the trip from Birmingham to Glasgow. The pair took over from 67008 at Birmingham New Street for the overnight run to Carlisle and then over the Glasgow and South Western metals to Glasgow Central. The return run was straight down the West Coast Main Line.
