Barry Festival of Transport 1999
On 6th June 1999 Cardiff Valleys Railways' operated a series of special trains in
association with the Barry Festival of Transport. These saw 50031 and D444
operating on the freight only branch to Cwmbargoed. The train was top and Tailed
with two class 37s making for a significant trailing load on the challenging gradients.
